About Nadege Dandou
Education and early career
Nadege Dandou obtained a Master 2 in Networks and Systems from the CESA SUP institute in 2011-2012. Her solid academic training has enabled her to develop advanced technical skills that have laid the foundations for her career in the digital field.
Professional achievements
From May 2015 to June 2023, Nadège held the position of Senior Project Manager at Novus, where she led large-scale technology projects with outstanding expertise. Her ability to manage teams and bring complex projects to completion is a testament to her leadership and technical mastery.
Honors and Awards
2013: Nadège won 3rd prize for best Android application at Software Freedom Day in Casablanca with her innovative SOS Citoyens application. This app enables citizens to report road problems via a geolocation and photo-sharing system, by logging in via their social network accounts.
2015: Nadège's team won a competition organized by CFIMEDIA to encourage young people with a passion for new technologies and to offer wider and more varied access to information in Africa through the “C50 secondes” project. This application would provide flash information in the local language via the cell phone.
2016: Nadège won several awards that year. She took part in a mobile app competition in Casablanca and a competition in Côte d'Ivoire focusing on cybersecurity. Her projects were recognized for their innovation and impact.
2016: She also received the FIRE Award from AFRINIC in Mauritius, a distinction that honors groundbreaking technological initiatives in Africa.
2017: Nadège was awarded the Prix National d'Excellence de l'Innovation Numérique in Côte d'Ivoire, consolidating her reputation as a leader in the technology field.

Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the Nadège Dandou Prize, candidates must :
Be young Africans (women or men) with a passion for digital, free and open source technologies.
Have developed or made a significant contribution to a free and open source project or application serving African women.
Demonstrate a positive impact on the community or solve a relevant societal problem through their project.
